Overview
The institute’s namesake, Clayton Yeutter, was passionate about students and preparing them for our changing world. During a 1989 commencement speech he said,
"[I]f you are prepared to be broad and creative and global in your thinking, you should have a very productive and rewarding career indeed.”
We're to committed to that same mindset.

By connecting knowledge gained in the classroom with professional development opportunities, the Yeutter Student Fellows will meet with the core faculty members who are chaired in the College of Business, College of Ag Science and Natural Resources, and the College of Law, as well as professionals who are experts in their career fields. who are experts in their fields. The Student Fellows consist of a cohort up to four students for one academic year. This cohort will interact with each other and with professionals who specialize in a wide range of fields, committing to regular meet-ups that focus on building networking, skill building, and learning about international trade.
Students will produce one deliverable—one that will give you an edge as you prepare for the next step in your educational or professional journey. Past deliverables have included individual briefing papers (primers on trade policy issues of interest) and a team project (the spring 2023 project focused on a potential overseas investment for a corporate client).
